Bathurst Country Affair

This project provides funding for the establishment and running of the annual village-wide Bathurst Country Affair, often this project is fully funded so contributions are rolled over to the New Year allowing the event to become bigger and better.

For six years in a row, this community-based project has created an environment for all the businesses in the community to participate in a village-wide market. The project supplies central buying power and marketing support which would be unavailable to the businesses and participants individually. Each year about R30,000 is raised and largely recovered from businesses and members of the community, any excess generated is either donated to charity or retained to kick-start the next event.
